Harry C. Johnson, age 89, of 906 S. 41st St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday, October 20, 1998, at his residence.

Harry was born April 18, 1909, in Wallace, Michigan, son of the late Charles and Josephine (née Forvilly) Johnson.

He married Adeline Kosbab on May 12, 1934, in Gladstone, Michigan.

Harry was employed for 32 years with Manitowoc Engineering, retiring in 1975.

Survivors include his wife, Adeline, Manitowoc; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Rita Johnson, Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Jack and Carol Johnson, Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jill and John Gill, Quinnescc [sic], Mich., Pat and Dale Aulik, Manitowoc; eight grandchildren, Rhonda Thompson, Rory Johnson, Michael Paulus, Debra Paulus, Kevin Aulik, Kent Aulik, Craig Johnson, Todd Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Stuart, Stacey, Kathryn and Gage; other relatives and friends also survive.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, James Johnson; one sister, Lillian Gaffney; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Carlson and Alice Carlson; one brother-in-law, Richard Mecha.

A memorial has been established in Harry's name.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 1998, at the Jens Family Funeral Home and Crematory, Manitowoc, with inurnment of his cremains to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth. The Jens Family Funeral Home and Crematory, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with arrangements.
