Mr. Cook

Grover Cleveland Cook, 87, Bob Cox Road, N.W., Marietta, died Friday.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel of Mayes Ward Funeral home in Marietta with the Rev. Robert L. Pumley officiating. Burial was in the Kennesaw City Cemetery.

He was a native of Bradley County, Tenn, and was raised around Blue Ridge. He had been living in Cobb County for 50 years. Mr. Cook was a member of the Baptist Church and a retired carpenter. He had been in poor health for the past several years.

He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Alice Griffith, Nell Cook, and Mrs. E.L. Russell, all of Marietta, three brothers, Herbert Cook and Roy Cook, of Marietta, and Clay Cook of Kennesaw; sister in law, Mrs. Ida Cook of Acworth and Mrs. Demercie Cook of Kennesaw, 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
