Oval Morris Proffitt 80 of Glasgow was received by his Savior on Monday March 11, 2013 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born on April 3, 1932 in Monroe County he was the son of the late Eskel & Amy Kingery Proffitt. Mr. Proffitt was a member of the Union #2 Missionary Baptist Church. He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the U. S. Army and worked for All Pest Chemical, Goodyear Tire and Tyson's of Glasgow.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers: Glen & Herbert Gene Proffitt.
