VIOLA L. ZAHORIK

Viola L. Zahorik, age 95, of 2418 Paul Road, Manitowoc, died on Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, at the Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County.

The former Viola Zunker was born on Aug. 10, 1912, in Branch, daughter of the late Henry and Lillian Meyer Zunker. On Dec. 26, 1940, Viola was married to Edward Zahorik at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Manitowoc. The couple owned and operated the Zahorik Hatchery and Poultry Farm in Cato, retiring in 1989. Ed preceded Viola in death on Dec. 13, 1989. Viola was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church of Whitelaw and its Christian
Mothers Society. Viola enjoyed life to its fullest, especially hand quilting, traveling and swim aerobics.

She was preceded in death by one brother: Oscar Zunker, and six sisters: Agnes DiTrapani; Anita Koch; Martha VanErman; Eldora Meyer; Lucille DeCicco; and LaVerne Strossner.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at St. Michael Catholic Church Whitelaw. The Rev. Matt Simonar will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial, with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of
service at 11 a.m.
The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is serving the Zahorik family.
