He was born in Helena, Montana and lived in Salt Lake City, Utah before moving to Sparks. He was a devoted father, caring son, dedicated brother, an awesome grandfather, a loving husband as well as a wonderful friend to many. He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Martin B. and Nell M. Powers and twin brother, Michael John Powers. He is survived by wife, Diana; mother, Donna Thompson; stepfather, Steve Thompson; father, Martin Powers; son, Jeremy; daughters, Nicole and Lauren; sisters; Jennifer, Johanna, and Jeanne; brother, Marcus; grandson, Deshaun and dear friend and brother-in-spirit, Marvin Davis. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 11, 11:00 a.m. at St. Helena Cathedral, Helena, MT. Burial immediately following at Resurrection Cemetery alongside his brother Michael.
