Martin James Powers 1960 ~ 2003 Martin James Powers, 42, of Sparks, NV., passed away on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003. He was born in Helena, Montana and lived in Salt Lake City, Utah before moving to Sparks. He was a devoted father, caring son, dedicated brother, an awesome grandfather, a loving husband as well as a wonderful friend to many. He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Martin B. and Nell M. Powers and twin brother, Michael John Powers. He is survived by wife, Diana; mother, Donna Thompson; stepfather, Steve Thompson; father, Martin Powers; son, Jeremy; daughters, Nicole and Lauren; sisters; Jennifer, Johanna, and Jeanne; brother, Marcus; grandson, Deshaun and dear friend and brother-in-spirit, Marvin Davis. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 11, 11:00 a.m. at St. Helena Cathedral, Helena, MT. Burial immediately following at Resurrection Cemetery alongside his brother Michael.
