Mr. Rinker was born January 25, 1920 in Grand Ridge, to Louis C. and Minnie Smith Rinker. He farmed on Farm Ridge Township and was employed at Marbon for 16 years, retiring in 1985. He married Arlene Irion November 27, 1943, in St. Patrick's Church. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Streator Elks Lodge and the Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Gary of rural Grand Ridge, Gregg of Galesburg and Gordon of Omaha, NE; and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Hayward and Bernice Rinker, both of Grand Ridge. Hw was preceded in death by a brother, Harvey.
