Mr. Louis F. Kappelmann, 84, of 1877 Whitewater Circle, Manitowoc, died Thursday, August 27, 1987 at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11 am Monday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran church, Manitowoc. Rev. Glenn Unke will officiate with entombment to follow at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Town of Kossuth.
Mr. Kappelmann was born December 7, 1902 in the Town of Kossuth, Wisconsin, son of the late Fred and Wilhelmina Johannes Kappelmann. Mr. Kappelmann was employed at Portland Cement Company of Manitowoc, retiring in 1967.
He married the former Martha Sehlhoff on February 9, 1924 in the Town of Mishicot. She preceded him in death on October 16, 1981.
He was baptized by Pastor Gustav Vater and confirmed by Pastor Edward Zell on May 21, 1916 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Mishicot. Mr. Kappelmann was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Susan and Oscar Dick of Manitowoc, Marie and Rev. Martin Janke of Jackson, Wisconsin and Donna Zima of Manitowoc; a sister and a brother-in-law, Elsie and Wilbert Busse of the Town of Newton; a brother and a sister-in-law, Paul and Leona Kappelmann of the Town of Kossuth; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends survive.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Kappelmann and a brother, William Kappelmann.
