Kenneth H. Hardenstine, 87, of Wernersville, passed away March 11, 2013, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was the husband (LIVING) Hardenstine, with whom he would have shared 62 years of marriage on March 24, 2013.
Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Charles N. and Bertha E. (Rupp) Hardenstine.
He was a 1943 graduate of Lebanon High School. He was a Navy veteran, having served in WWII. He was a member of St. John's (Hain's) UCC, Wernersville.
He was employed as a machinist at the former Omstead Air Force Base in Middletown, PA, and for the Defense Logistics Agency at the Defense Depot in Mechanicsburg, PA, retiring September 26, 1980.
He was a lifelong member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Lebanon, The National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Washington, DC, and Mount Olivet Lodge 704 F&A Masons of Lebanon. He was also a 50-year member of Weidle Royal Arch Chapter 197, the Lebanon Council 27 R&S Masons, and the Hermit Commandery 24 Knights Templar, all in Lebanon.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, three sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Burial will be in Hain's Church Cemetery.
