HADLEY — Ralph B. Kepple, 81, of 747 Milledgeville Road, Hadley (Deer Creek Township), passed away early Thursday morning, Feb. 28, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 4, 1931 in McCullough (Westmoreland County), a son of the late Ralph N. and Ellen Lamb Kepple. On Oct. 3, 1952, he married the former Twila L. Butler, who survives.

Ralph had been employed by the former American Viscose, Meadville, and later at PPG Industries, Meadville, from which he had retired. He had served as a sergeant with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was a member of Denny Chapel, Meadville. Ralph was an avid fisherman and a man who loved the Lord and would not hesitate to share this love with others, and he would actively and openly profess his faith as he lived it out in his daily life. He enjoyed music and was proficient in playing the harmonica.

In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by a daughter, Joann Hall and her husband, Jeff, of Atlantic; three sons, Dennis N. Kepple of Atlantic, Russell L. Kepple of Cochranton, and John T. Kepple and his wife, Michelle, of Cochranton; seven grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Barbara Marburger; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Kepple; two brothers, Dale Kepple Sr. and Clarence Kepple; and a sister, Betty Struble.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 3223 Perry Highway, Sheakleyville, and are invited to share memories and condolences online at rlsfh.com.

The funeral service will be on Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerry Devine of Beaver Center officiating.

The interment and committal service will follow at Hadley Cemetery.
