Edward L. Pennock, 62, of 316 S. 11th St., died of natural causes Thursday morning shortly after arrival in St. Joseph Hospital.
He was the husband of Anna V. (Shupp) Pennock.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Warren and Kathryn (Brown) Pennock.
Pennock, an Army veteran of World War II, was employed as a maintenance worker by the former General Battery Corp., Reading, for five years, retiring in 1973.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five stepdaughters; Ardelle, wife of Howard Master, Alburtis R.D. 1; Jeanette, wife of Carlton McNeill, Sinking Spring; J. Cookie Lord, Laureldale; Margaret, wife of Raymond Knarr, Reading; and Georgeanne, wife of Charles Gainer, Columbia, Lancaster County.
Four stepsons: Ronald H. Lord, Wernersville; Richard H. Lord, Alburtis R.D. 1; Raymond H. Lord, Boyertown; and Earl W. Drupp, Birdsboro; 36 step-grandchildren; and 19 step-great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Norman Pennock, Reading, and Clifford Pennock, Wyomissing; and two sisters, Anna, wife of Barry Shiffner, Stony Creek Mills, and Eleanor, wife of Edward Richards, Laureldale.
