John F. Philipps, 90, of 2021 24th Street, Two Rivers, WI died Tuesday
afternoon, June 27, 1989 at North Ridge Care Center, Manitowoc, WI.
Funeral services will be 10 am Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic
Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Donald Marquardt will officiate with burial
at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mr. Philipps was born January 26, 1899 at Menominee, Michigan, son
of the late William and Katherine Sturgess Philipps.

He married the former Lucia Rozmarynoski on June 23, 1924 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Two Rivers.

Mr. Philipps was employed at Hamilton Industries as a cabinet maker until his retirement in 1963. He was the oldest member of the Two Rivers Eagles club, belonging to the organization for 66 years.

Survivors include his wife Lucia;
two sons and daughters-in-law:
Gilbert and Mary Ann Philipps of Two Rivers, WI and Lorin and Mary Philipps
of Wausaukee, WI;
a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Richard Gleichner of Two Rivers, WI;
three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Ted and Irene Philipps of Wallace, Michigan; Raymond Philipps of Wausaukee, WI and Robert and Gladys Philipps of Porterfield, WI;
three sisters and a brother-in-law: Margaret Meyers, Esther Kahara, Isabelle and Francis Vista, all of Wausaukee, WI;
a sister-in-law Vivian Philipps of Wausaukee, WI;
13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers,
5 pm to 8 pm this Wednesday. Parish memorial service will be held at
7 pm.

Marriage of John F. Philipps/Lucia Rozmarynowski
Miss Lucille Rozmarynowski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Rozmarynowski, 1721 Twenty-first Street and Fred Philips of Marinette were married at Sacred Heart Church at nine o'clock Monday morning, Rev. T. Malkowski performing the ceremony.
Miss Josephine Rozmarynowski, a sister of the bride and Fred Philips, a brother of the groom, were the attending couple. A celebration was held at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Philips who reside at Manitowoc where the groom is employed.
