Mae Dee Hall Claborn passed away on Thursday, 07 March 2013. She was 101.

Mrs. Claborn was born on Wednesday, 08 November 1911, to Harry Hall and Clyde Acton Hall, in Dumas, Moore County, Texas. She was the first of three children born to this union. At the time of her birth, William Howard Taft was president. On 25 September 1911, ground was broken for Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts.

She was united in marriage to Athol Morris Claborn on Saturday, 03 March 1934, in Carbon, Eastland County, Texas. Mr. Claborn preceded Mae in death on Sunday, 10 February 2002. They were married 67 years. To their union were born five children: Sandra Suzanne Claborn, Morris Wayne Claborn, David Hall Claborn, Sr., Judith Carolyn Claborn, and Gerald Keith Claborn.

Athol and Mae Dee retired to Mineral Wells in 1975. They were members of the Southside church of Christ. She volunteered for the auxiliary at Palo Pinto General Hospital and was a member of the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mae Dee enjoyed reading, oil painting, gardening, sewing and researching the family tree. She was devoted to her family, sacrificing her time and efforts for her husband and children, her smile began in her eyes and lit up her whole face.

Mae Dee was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, infant daughter Sandra Suzanne Claborn in 1934, son Morris W. Claborn in 2009, and David H. Claborn in 1975; and two brothers, Abe Hall and Harry C. Hall.

Davis and husband, Ron; son, Gerald Keith Claborn; grandchildren, Michael Claborn, Drue Burke, Jason Claborn, Ryan Claborn Burke, Melanie Claborn, and David Claborn; great-grandchildren, Christopher Claborn, Matt Claborn, Ali Mae Claborn, Alexa Fowler, Megan Burke, Reese Burke, Alexus Burke, Logan Burke, Conner Burke, Katherine Burke, Hal Claborn, and Molly Claborn; daughters-in-law Janis Claborn and Sarabeth (Claborn) Wright; sisters-in-law, Wilma Johnston, and Daphna Click.
