Widow of John Hyatt Dies After Short Illness
Mrs. Alice Hyatt, 71, passed away at the home of her son, Louis N. Hyatt, 118 Wall street, this morning, at 10 o'clock of heart trouble and complications. She had been seriously ill since Friday last week.
She had been a resident of this city for about 50 years and was the widow of John Hyatt, who was killed by lightning on west Main street 22 years ago. Mrs. Hyatt held membership in the West Madison M.E. church.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Henry Bloom, of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Bessie Herner, and Mrs. Otis Furnish, of Parkersville, Ind., and three sons, Gus, of Indianapolis, Lawrence of Parkersville and Louis, of this city.
