Junior was a member of the 14th Infantry Regiment, 71st Infantry Division, stationed in France. After surviving World War II and scheduled to return to the United States, he was killed in a jeep accident. He never married. We understand he had a girlfriend in France but no contact was ever made.
There's a headstone at Mt. Moriah, Frederick County, Maryland, that was put up by the family as a memorial and, unfortunately, has his last name misspelled. Junior is actually buried at the Lorraine American Cemetery.
