Mrs. Elmer (Minnie) Knuell, age 89, formerly of North Rapids Road in Manitowoc, died Friday morning, October 1, 1993, at Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc.
She was born January 1, 1904, in the country of Yugoslavia, daughter of Julia Fraytick. She came with her mother to the United States settling in Milwaukee in 1910. She attended Milwaukee Schools.
She was married to Chauncey Woest in 1922; he preceded her in death. She lived in Milwaukee until her marriage to Elmer Knuell October 30, 1973. He preceded her in death June 6, 1992.
She was a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ.
Survivors include one step-daughter and son-in-law, Doris May and Ralph Remiker, Manitowoc; four step-grandchildren, Kay Lynn Remiker, St. Louis, Mo., Lee Remiker, Amy Dworak and Kim Remiker, all of Manitowoc; two step-great grandchildren, Nicole and Alyssa Dworak. Also surviving are several cousins in the Milwaukee area.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands.
Funeral Services will be held at First Reformed United Church of Christ with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum. Memorials would be appreciated for First Reformed United Church of Christ.
