Marguerite "June" Kocian, age 85, formerly of Francis Creek, died on Friday morning, March 21, 2008, at St. Mary's Nursing Home, Manitowoc.

June was born on Feb. 20, 1923, in Green Bay, daughter of the late Walter and Kathryn (Vander Linden) Piton. She graduated from West De Pere High School. June married George J. Kocian on Feb. 10, 1942, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in West De Pere. He preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 1994. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek, and the St. Anne Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: George; two brothers and one sister-in-law: James Piton and Robert (Muriel) Piton; and six brothers-in-law and seven sisters-in-law: Joseph (Rose) Kocian; Victor (Isabel) Kocian; Matthew (Florence) Kocian; Edward (Fern) Kocian; Clarence (Agnes) Kocian; Molly Cherney; and Eleanor (Quirin) Wachal.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. Paul Paider will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial, with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, 1500 Highway 310, Manitowoc.

Relatives and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. Anne Catholic Church.

The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is serving the Kocian family.

A special thank you to the staff of St. Mary's Home for the loving care shown to Mom during her stay there.
