ARLE D. KOEPPE, SR
Arle D. Koeppe, Sr., age 68, of Maple Street in Manitowoc, died Monday, February 26, 1996, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Arle was born October 8, 1927, in town of Rockland, Manitowoc County, son of the late Harold A. and Helen J. Knudson Koeppe.
He was married to Carol Daul August 5, 1950, at St. Luke's Parsonage, Two Rivers. Carol preceded him in death on April 8, 1995.
He grew up and was educated in Manitowoc, graduating from Lincoln High School. He was employed at Clipper City Transit Company and Consolidated Freightways for 37 years, retiring in December, 1984. Arle was a member of First German Ev. Lutheran Church, V.F.W. Otto Oas Post #659, Cooties Pup Tent #34, Amvets Post 99. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army under General Dwight D. Eisenhower in the Army of Occupation from April 1946 to May 1947.
Surviving children are Timothy F. Koeppe, Manitowoc, Arle, Jr. and Linda Koeppe, Manitowoc, Thomas B. and Karen Koeppe, Two Rivers, Sandra Koeppe Gallenberger, Manitowoc, Paul H. Koeppe, Manitowoc; grandchildren, Heather, Tonya F., Tanya L., Jacob, Lisa, Halli Koeppe, Rachel Gallenberger, Jason Martell; one sister and brother-in-law, Eldora and Gordon Musil, Rockford, Ill.; one brother and sister-in-law, Melroy and Mari Koeppe, Two Rivers; step-mother, Esther Koeppe, Manitowoc; two nephews, one niece, other relatives and friends also survive.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Arle was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Lindsay Martell.
Funeral Services will be held at February 29, 1996, at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. Military Rites were accorded by V.F.W. Otto Oas Post #659.
