Michael J. Kohlmann, age 58, of 3703 Brunner Road, Manitowoc, died on Friday, Nov. 21, 2003, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Milwaukee, as a result of an industrial accident.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, 8100 Brunner Rd., Newton. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Beaudry with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.

Mike was born on Aug. 9, 1945, in Manitowoc, son of the late Victor and Esther Welter Kohlmann. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Grade School and was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the Class of 1964. He received his journeyman machinist certification from Lakeshore Technical Institute in 1968. Mike married the former Carol Anhalt on July 16, 1966, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Alverno. Mike was employed by the following companies as a maintenance mechanic and/or journeyman machinist; Manitowoc Engineering Co., Mike's Garage, Stock's Mfg. Co., Muskegon Piston Ring Co., Tecumseh Products Co., Kaufman Mfg., Mirro/Foley, Metal Ware Corp., Riesterer Machine LLC, and currently employed at SubCoFoods Co., Sheboygan. Mike loved his grandchildren and helping his family and friends. He enjoyed camping and riding his motorcycle. Mike was a member of the Holy Name Society, also the Newton Volunteer Fire Department for 31 years, and lifetime active member at his church.

Mike was also preceded in death by one sister: Ann Kohlmann and his father-in-law Gordon Anhalt.

The family will greet relatives from 3 p.m. until the time of Mass at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, Newton. The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
