John F. Kosobucki, age 88, of 2619 Sandy Bay Road, Two Rivers, died on Sunday, July 27, 2008, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
John was born on Dec. 14, 1919, in Milwaukee, son of the late Frank and Agnes (nee Panowitz) Kosobucki. He was a graduate of Washington High School, Two Rivers, class of 1938. John was in the U.S. Army Air Force from 1942 until 1945, serving in the South Pacific. On July 25, 1953, he married the former Ann Thor at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Ann preceded him in death on Nov. 28, 2001. John worked for Hamilton Industries for many years, retiring in 1981, as a foreman in the wood plant.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Ann Kosobucki; and one sister:
Alice Kosobucki.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2008, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William O'Brien, with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. Members of the VFW and American Legion of Two Rivers will be conducting full military honors following the commital service at the chapel.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m., where a prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, July 31, 2008, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church from 9 to 10:15 a.m. The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, is assisting the Kosobucki family with funeral arrangements.
