EMOGENE KRAEMER

Emogene M. Kraemer, age 94, of 1235 S. 25th St., Manitowoc, died on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center.

Emogene was born on Jan. 14, 1914, in Baltimore, MD., beloved daughter of the George W. and Phoebe Everson Raether. She graduated from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, in 1933. She worked as a bookkeeper at the National Tinsel Company from 1933 to 1938, prior to her marriage. She married John L. Kraemer on Oct. 29, 1938, in Manitowoc. She was a member, and served as a deacon, of both First Presbyterian Church of Manitowoc and of Oshkosh. Emogene was a member of the Manitowoc Chapter No. 196 of the Eastern Star, Manitowoc Elks Lodge No. 687 Auxiliary, American Association of Retired Persons, Manitowoc Senior Citizens, and a volunteer for the memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed golfing, bowling and traveling.

Emogene was preceded in death by her husband: John; one granddaughter; Nicole Loseth Pavlisko; and one brother: Lyle R. Raether.

A memorial service will be held commemorating Emogene's life at a later date. The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the Kraemer family.
