Annie was the daughter of Rev. Wilburn T. & Louisa Alexander Abbott. She was one of their twelve children and was the last surviving member of this family, having been preceded in death by all 11 siblings (see list).

Her sister, Mertie Abbott Isbell, with whom she lived at the Bethea Baptist Home, preceded her in death by just three months.

Annie's graveside service was held Friday, June 15, 1990 at Oconee Memorial Park.
