SMITH BURIED
Word has been received of the death of Earl E. Smith Sr., who died on November 26.
He was a pioneer homesteader in the Mesa Rica and Newkirk, N.M community, having settled on the Mesa Rica with his parents in 1916. Smith was a World War One veteran and is survived by his second wife, Walcy, five children, 11 grandchildren, one great grandchild, one brother Claude, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was buried in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Las Cruces, N.M.
