The 1860 & 1870 census' places Sarah and John in Richardson County, NE. They are seen living with James Morris family near her daughter and sun-in-law Joseph and Almira Partch Main's place. In 1852 the Partch family along with bachelor Joseph Main moved from Crawford County, PA to Iowa where Joseph married 14 year old Almira. If John and Sarah ever lived in Dawes County, NE it would be at the same time that Crazy Horse and the Lakota Sioux were legitimately trying to keep the whites off their lands. If they did live there it would not have been very long. I believe he went with daughter and son-in-law to the state of Washington where he is buried in a now unmarked grave near her as state records show. His wife Sarah is either buried West Muddy, Richardson County where they lived, or in Dawes County. I am inclined to believe the former. James and Amanda Partch Mooris' memorials prove that the Partch family married into the Morris family. John is in WA.
