ALTA LANNBRECHT

Alta Lannbrecht, age 79, of the Manitowoc Health Care Center, formerly of Cato, died on Sunday, March 7, 2004. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2004 at St. John-St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. The Rev. Timothy Nommensen will officiate. Entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum in Manitowoc.

She was born on Sept. 16, 1928 in Bristol, daughter of the late Glen and Laura (Schonschek) Knapp.

She married Edgar Lannbrecht on June 1, 1946 in Reedsville.

Alta was a member of St. John-St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Merlin and Suzanne, Oshkosh: Lyle and Mary Beth, Brillion; two grandchildren: Christopher and Marisa; a sister: Winifred (Milton) Buss, Newton; and a brother: Wendell (Harriet) Knapp, Manitowoc.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar, on May 2, 2000.

Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville on Wednesday, March 10, 2004 from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
