ADORACION ALCAZAR, age 91 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
A native of Costa Rica, former resident of Metaire, La. and resident of McMinn County, Tenn. for 3 1/2 years. She was a daughter of the late Carlos and Adoracion Garcia Alcazar and was preceded in death by her Second Husband, Edgar Carriere, Sr.; and a Brother, Carlos Alcazar. She was of the Catholic Faith.
Survivors: Her children and spouses Francisco (Bobby) and Sharon Donato of Metaire, La., Dorita Donato of Athens, TN; Raymond and Virginia Donato of Athens, Tenn., and Edgar Carriere, Jr. of Metaire, La.; Brother, Louis Alcazar of Slidell, La.; Four Sisters:, Esther Alcazar, Christina Alcazar, Valoise Alcazar, and Adialia Antich all of Costa Rica; 9 Grandchildren: Don (Donny) Donato, Todd Donato, Daniel (Danielle) Donato Hullfish, Jimmy Ray Brown, Adoracion Croft, Andrew Donato, Angela Rodriquiz (Rodriguez), Amber Donato, and Daniel Carriere;17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; Former husband, Adolpho Alcazar (Adolpho Donato) ; Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. William D. Oruko officiating.
Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Bobby Donato, Todd Donato, Donnie Donato, Eddie Carriere, Jimmy Brown, and Ray Donato.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home.
