She was born in Au Sable Forks, New York, June 22, 1910, the daughter of Nathaniel and Sadie Booth Douglas.
Her husband, Harry Abare, died in 1967. She was survived by one son, Howard of Plattsburgh; three ganrdchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ernest Bombard and Mrs. Barney Bushey, both of Au Sable Forks; two brothers, Reginald Douglas of Keeseville and George Douglas of Jay, New York.
She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society of St. John the Baptist Church in Keeseville.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 29, 1967, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church. Burial was in the family plot in the church cemetery.
