FLORENCE LUCKOW

Florence Minnie Mae Luckow, age 95, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, at the Manitowoc Health Care Center.

Florence was born on Dec. 2, 1911, in the town of Athens, Marathon County, daughter of the late Paul and Mary Becker Lehman. She grew up and was educated in the town of Athens and attended Trinity Lutheran School.

On May 30, 1930, she married Irving Luckow at Trinity Lutheran Church in Athens. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2001.

Florence was a member of Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church, Newton, Salem Ebenezer Ladies Aid, and the White Trail Homemakers. She enjoyed baking, gardening and crafts.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Irving; one son: Robert Luckow; three grandchildren; two great-grandsons; three brothers; two sisters; one son-in-law: Lloyd Wernecke.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church, 6524 County Trunk C, Newton. The Rev Kyle Sorensen will officiate with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday at the church from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the Luckow family.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Harmony House and Holy Family Hospice for the wonderful care shown to Florence.
