Alexander H. Bowman, son of Alexander Hogg Bowman and Beatrice P. Hamilton, was killed in a mining accident at Kerr-Addison Gold Mines Ltd. According to reports, Alexander, a miner, had just arrived at his work place and was moving the three-drum 30 horsepower slushing machine under its own power when it overturned and crushed him, dying instantly. Alexander was an employee of Kerr-Addison for four years.

Alexander was survived by his mother, Mrs. Beatrice Bowman, and siblings, Margaret and George.
