JOYCE MEISSNER

Joyce Meissner, age 80, of 6805 Manitou Drive, Two Rivers, died Tuesday evening, July 14, 1992, at the Two Rivers Community Hospital.

Joyce was born May 8, 1912, in Two Rivers, the daughter of the late Ernst and Rose (née Krause) Schwantes.

She married Wilmer Meissner at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mishicot on May 25, 1938. The couple operated the family farm until retiring in 1976.

She was a member of St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church and the Ladies Bible Hour. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the town of Two Rivers Fire Department, and a Two Rivers Lioness.

Survivors include her husband, Wilmer; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Tom Stern, Manitowoc; three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Ann Meisner, rural Two Rivers, Ronald and Joan of Mishicot, and David and Dianne Meissner, Green Bay; one brother, Peter Schwantes, Rockwood; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by three sisters, three brothers, and one grandson.

Funeral service will be Friday 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mishicot, with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum. Memorials to St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church will be appreciated.
