Flora E Herzog(sic), 92 formerly of Sheboygan, died Oct. 10, 2004 at Marquardt
Memorial Manor, Watertown, Wis.
The former Flora E. Schwartz was born June 13, 1912 in the Town of Meeme,
Manitowoc County, daughter of John and Louisa (Oechmichen) Schwartz. She
married Willard H. Herzog on Nov. 20, 1937, and resided in Sheboygan for
over 60 years. She was employed at the H.C. Prange Co. for over 12 years
and then worked part-time at JohnsonÆs Bakery until her retirement in 1989.
She was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ in Sheboygan for over
50 years.
Survivors include her daughter Germaine Kinney (Don Hungerford) of Sheboygan
and her son Jerry (Judy) Herzog of Watertown. She is also survived by five
grandchildren, Jeff (Marsha) of Dallas Texas, Todd (Julie) Kinney of Sheboygan,
Kris (Jim) Van Engen of Sheboygan Falls, Lisa Schaefer, and Cheryl Kinney of
Sheboygan. There are also five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death
by her husband on Nov.26, 1988, her parents and brothers and sisters. She was
the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, at Ballhorn
Funeral Home in Sheboygan, with a funeral service to follow at 6 p.m. The Rev.
Roger J. Mealiff, pastor of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, will officiate.
A private family burial will be held the next day at St. James Cemetery in
Spring Valley. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
