Lorena Schurrer, 77, a former Sheboygan resident, died Sunday at Willowdale Nursing Home, New Holstein, where she had been a resident for the past year. She had previously lived at the Meadowview and Morningside Nursing Homes.

The former Lorena Wolters was born February 12, 1905, in the town of Meeme, a daughter of the late John and Katherine Sixel Wolters. She attended district school.
On October 19, 1927, she married John Artmann in Chicago, Ill. The couple lived in Sheboygan.

She married Edwin Schurrer November 30, 1957. The couple operated a motel at Hika. Mr. Schurrer died in 1977. Mrs. Schurrer was also employed as secretary for the superintendent of schools in Manitowoc. She was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, Sheboygan.

Survivors include two step-sons, Roger Schurrer, of Raleigh, N.C., and Allen Schurrer, rural New Holstein; three step-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Belitz, of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Arthur Sohn, of Cleveland, and Mrs. Elmer Sohn, R. 1, Newton.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel. The Rev. Elmer Becker officiated. Burial was in St. James Cemetery, Spring Valley.
