ROLAND E. SCHWARTZ

Funeral services for Roland E. Schwartz, 49, formerly of 1008 N. 9th St., will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Ebenezer United Church of Christ. He died Tuesday at Wood Veterans Hospital, Milwaukee.
The Rev. Rueben Grosshuesch, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Town of Meeme (Manitowoc County).

Born in the Town of Meeme on March 10, 1922, a son of the late John and Louisa Oehmichen Schwartz, he attended Mineral Springs school there.
He was confirmed at St. James United Church of Christ, Spring Valley.During World War II, Mr. Schwartz served in the U.S. army from 1942-46. He farmed the homestead until 1954 when he moved to Sheboygan where he was employed
at Watry Industry for six years until illness forced his retirement in September, 1969.
He was a member of Ebenezer UCC and a member of the Sheboygan Amvets Post 18.

Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Harvey (Lorena) Wagner, and Mrs. Willard (Flora) Herzog, both of Sheboygan, and two brothers, Oliver, Howards Grove, and Allen, Kiel.
A sister and three brothers preceded him in death.

A memorial fund is being established in Mr. Schwartz' name for Ebenezer Church.
