Town Of Meeme Resident Passes Away On Friday

John Walters(sic), 69, passed away at his home in the town of Meeme Friday at 11:30 a.m., after a lingering illness.

Deceased was born July 23, 1871, in Town Meeme and was married July 10, 1897, to Katie Sixel. The couple located on the farm of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Walters.

He is survived by his wife and four daughters, Mrs. Elsie Belitz of Port Washington; Mrs. Erma Sohn, at home; Mrs. Lorraine Artmann, Jackson, and Mrs. Leona Sohn, Cleveland; two grandchildren and two brothers, Max Walters of the town of Mosel and Fred Walters, Sheboygan Falls.

The body was removed to the Walter H. Ahrens Funeral home at Howards Grove, and will be taken to his home this afternoon, where funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. and at 2 p.m. at St. James Evangelical church, Spring Valley. The Rev. Carl Schmahl will officiate and interment will be made at the church cemetery.
