Mrs. Mattie Baker, a former
resident of Somerset, died Friday
at the home of a son, Raymond
Baker, West Palm Beach,
Florida.
The daughter of the late
Thomas and Elizabeth Matthews
Corder, she was born
August 10, 1878 in Monticello.
She was married to John J.
Baker February 20, 1896 in
Monticello. He preceded her in
death.
Mrs Baker had lived in Pulaski
County for 58 years. She
was a member of the Concord
Baptist Church at Slavans, Ky.
She is survived by the following
children, Emma Denney,
Clinton, and Raymond Baker,
West Palm Beach, Fla.; the
following brothers and sisters,
Alfred Corder, Harley Corder,
Delia Anderson and Dora Anderson
all of Monticello, Elmer
Corder, Somerset, and Cora
Anderson, McCutchenville, Ohio.
Funeral services were held
Tuesday in the Chapel of the
Pulaski Funeral Home with the
Rev Davis King officiating.
Burial was in the Somerset
Cemetery.
Pulaski Funeral Home in
charge of arrangements.
