Eleanor A. Barstow, aged 78 years, died Friday, January 20, at 5 o’clock in the afternoon, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Barton, in Lewis township, death due to extreme age. She was ill only three days. The body was removed to the residence of her son, Guy E. Barstow, 816 Commercial street. Announcement of arrangements for funeral will be later.

Mrs. Barstow has been a resident of Mills and Pottawattamie counties since 1853. She is survived by five children, Dr. J. M. Barstow, 221 South Sixth street, Council Bluffs; Mrs. R. Burchard, Lewis township; Mrs. Alice J. McIntyre, Logan, Ia.; Mrs. Ena Barton, 816 Commercial street, Council Bluffs.

The funeral of Mrs. Eleanor Barstow was held Sunday afternoon at the residence of her son, Guy E. Barstow, 816 Commercial street. Rev. Edgar Price of the First Christian church conducted the funeral services, which were largely attended. Burial was at Walnut Hill cemetery.
