Dr. Charles H. Sullivan, 75 of Poestenkill a retired Troy optometrist and a native of Glens Falls, died yesterday at Leonard Hospital following a brief illness. He was the son of the late Mary Walsh and Timothy D Sullivan of Glens Falls and received his education in that city, at St. Mary's Academy, and Columbia University, where he received his doctorate in optometry. He was an optometrist since the early 1920s. He was a veteran of World War I having served in the medical corps of the Army. He practiced his profession In Richmond, Va., and New York City, he came to Troy in 1920, and from 1940 to 1950 operated offices in Troy, Hoesick Falls, Cambridge, Schuylerville and Salem. He was a licensed optometrist n this state and for Troy since 1923. He operated Troy offices rom 1926 to 1958, when he retired from the profession. In 1926, Dr. Sullivan married he former Margaret M. Ring, Echoes school teacher, who died n 1965. Dr. Sullivan was a member of the New York State Optometrist's Association and the Colombia University Alumni Association and a communicant of St. Jude's Church, Wynantskill. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Daniel J. Horigan and Mrs. Frank J. Morgan, both of Troy, and three grandchildren. The funeral will be at 8:45 a.m., Saturday from the John H. Clinton Funeral Home, Washington Park and Third St., and at 9:30 a.m, from St. Jude's Church, Wynantskill where a requiem High Mass will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
