"Mrs. Ann Russell McClearen Houk
Services for Mrs. Ann Russell McClearen Houk, 86, of Nashville, who died on Monday, November 7, 2005, will be held Wednesday, November 23 at the First Unitarian Universalist Church in Nashville.
A native of Farmer's Exchange Community, Mrs. McClearen [sic] was the wife of the late James Goodall Houk and the daughter of the late Annie Laura Russell and Lloyd Edward McClearen. She was an administrator for American Airlines and a founding member of the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Nashville.
She leaves her daughter, Ann Houk-Bain of LaVergne; her son, James G. Houk, Jr. of Colorado Springd, Col..; three sisters, Nell King of Pleasantville, Lloydette Pederson and Suzanne Hamilton; three brothers, Harber McClearen, Graham McClearen and John McClearen; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by by her sisters, Elizabeth and Jean ahd her brothers, James and Edward.
Mrs. McClearen's [sic] body has been donated to Vanderbilt University School of Medicine by her request. Memorial donations may be made to National Public Radio, public television, and the Ornithogical Society." (end transcription - hmh)
