ROBERT C. PETERIK

Robert C. Peterik, age 88, of 8505 Franz Road, Two Rivers, entered into eternal rest Saturday evening May 31, 2008, at the Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers surrounded by his loving family.

Robert was born July 5, 1919, in Two Rivers to the late John and Mary Scheuer Peterik and has been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers and graduated with the class of 1937.

He married the former Gladys Havlichek Feb. 27, 1954, at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Two Rivers.

Robert owned and operated the family farm in the town of Mishicot for many years.

He was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Two Rivers. Robert enjoyed being in the outdoors, cutting firewood and walking his dogs on his land. He loved spending time with his entire family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Danica Wiltman, two brothers, Ivan (Lillian) Peterik, Nicholas (Katherine) Peterik, a sister-in-law, Sharon Havlichek, and a niece, Diane Sachse.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Two Rivers with the Reverend William O'Brien officiating with entombment to follow in the Knollwood Mausoleum, Highway 310 in Manitowoc.

Relatives and friends may call after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. There will be no Monday evening visitation.

The Peterik family would like to extend a very special thank you to the Mishicot Ambulance Service, the entire staff of the Aurora Medical Center of Two Rivers and to the Aurora Visiting Nurses Association for their love, care and support during Robert's illness. Your kindness will always be remembered.

The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting the Peterik family with funeral arrangements.
