Died, in Hire township, McDonough county, Ill., November 22, 1880, Mrs. Julia M. (Langwell) Jones, wife of J.M. Jones, who died three years ago. Mrs. Jones was born February 15, 1815, in Christian county, Ky.: was married to J.M. Jones in Trig {sic} county, of same state, in 1852. Moved to Springfield, Ill., in 1835; moved from there to Hancock county, Ill., in 1842; again from Hancock county to this county in 1855. She, with her husband, embraced the Christian religion in 1850. They walked together in Christian fellowship for 32 years, when her husband died, leaving her to travel alone in the Christian pathway, and when the time of dissolution came, she was ready and waiting. She was the mother of eight children, two of whom preceded her to the better land. Of the six living four were present at the funeral, and two living in distant states. The funeral services were held at her home, conducted by Revs. Bushnell and McGeish of the M.E. church. G.W.K.
