GERALDINE M. "GERRY" PROCHNOW
Geraldine M. "Gerry" Prochnow, age 62, of 12518 Mesa Verde Drive in Sun City West, Arizona, formerly of Reedsville, died Thursday, December 10, 1992, at Sun Care Health Center in Sun City, following a very courageous battle with cancer.
Gerry was born June 14, 1930, in Ashland, Wis., to the late Otto and Manila (née Anderson) Sauter. Following graduation from Phillips High School, she worked for the U.S.D.A. Forest Service from 1948-1953.
She was married to Harland Prochnow on September 19, 1953, in Phillips, Wisconsin. They resided in Reedsville during which time she worked in the family Sentry Foods store and also for the Ariens Co., Brillion. They retired to Sun City West in about 1983.
Gerry was active in the Sun City West PRIDES and the Wisconsin Club. She was also a member of the Crown of Life Lutheran Church, Sun City West.
Gerry is survived by her husband; a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy Prochnow and Stephen Raymakers, Whitelaw; two sons and daughters-in-law, Perry and Jocelyn Prochnow, Brillion, Paul and Bonnie Prochnow, Algoma; three grandchildren and one step-grandson, Charlie and Katie Prochnow, Algoma, Troy Prochnow, Brillion, Christopher Raymakers, Two Rivers; also surviving is her aunt, Alma Diedrich, Phillips; her mother-in-law, Gertrude Prochnow, Manitowoc; many cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a half brother, Earl Sauter, her father-in-law, Elmer Prochnow, and a sister-in-law, Pearl Plate.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorials be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at the Knollwood Mausoleum, Manitowoc. The Rev. David Martin of Boone, Iowa, a cousin, will officiate.
