Daryl died peacefully on Friday, March 15, 2013, at the age of 79 years. He was born to Glenn and Gladys (Williams) Bennett Dec. 12, 1933, in Harrah, OK. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry and married his sweetheart, Betty Ruth Fallwell, April 14, 1956, in Olympia, WA. Daryl was a hardworking roofer and carpenter until his retirement in the '80s. Daryl was preceded in death by his parents and his parents-in-law, Cecil and Hazel (Sims) Fallwell. Daryl loved to fish and cut up with his old friends, all who preceded him in death. He was a voracious reader of Western paperback books and loved to laugh when his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and "grandpuppies" visited

Daryl is survived by his wife of almost 57 years, Betty; son, Gary Bennett and wife Phyllis; daughter, Cheryl Harris and boyfriend Darrell Latham; grandson, Garrett Bennett and wife Fatemeh; granddaughter, Sarah Laughlin and husband Johnathon; granddaughter, Cassi Brians and boyfriend James Smith; great-granddaughter, Joscelyn Laughlin; and great-grandson, Brohdan Laughlin. Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, March 18 at John Ireland Funeral Home, 120 S. Broadway, Moore, OK. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 19 at Resthaven Cemetery, SW 104th & Western in Oklahoma City.
