Craig "Moldy" Moldenhauer, age 64, of Valders died on Friday afternoon, December 7, 2012 at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center after a courageous battle with various cancers.

He was born on August 27, 1948 in Manitowoc, son of Jermaine (Streich) and the late James A. Moldenhauer. Moldy was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1966. On June 14, 1995 he married Charlotte Schiferl in Manitowoc. Moldy sold wholesale foods to area restaurants all of his adult life. He was very loyal to his customers and in return they were very loyal to him. Throughout his career he sold food through various distributors and retired in August of 2012 after many years with Reinhart Foodservice.

Moldy also owned and operated C.C. Willows Supper Club in Valders since January 1, 1984. One of his greatest joys in life was serving his friends from behind the bar. Moldy had a gift for telling a joke and was known for his unexpected humor.

He was a previous member of the Valders Lions Club and the Manitowoc Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his wife: Char of Valders; his mother: Jermaine Moldenhauer Ashford, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Cayce and Roman Marcos, Scotsdale, AZ; one son and daughter-in-law: Curtis and Catherine Moldenhauer, Phoenix, AZ, one sister and brother-in-law: Jeri Lynn and Charles Koch, Manitowoc; one sister-in-law: Barbara Moldenhauer, Manitowoc; one stepson and stepdaughter-in-law: Scott and Cara Kulas, Fremont, CA; one stepdaughter and stepson-in-law: Angie and Andy Birler, Germantown, WI; seven grandchildren: Ryder, Orion, Marley, Violet, Olivia, Robert James "RJ", and Livia. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by one brother: James T. Moldenhauer.

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home. Officiating will be Deacon Alan Boeldt. Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc and Craig will be laid to rest at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from 2:00 PM until 5:45 PM.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Valders Ambulance Service.

Moldy enjoyed life to its fullest; eating, drinking and laughing with family and friends.
