Juliet was the first born of George Washington and Harriet Harston, Juliette T. Salisbury was born in Palmyra New York, February 27, 1830. She was married to James F. Hudson at the residence of her mothers at Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, September 2, 1860 to whom were born three sons and five daughters, two of the latter having preceded the mother beyond the river of death, while the others of the family remain to mourn the loss of the dear one. The family came west and resided in several states of the west and finally locating in Dundy county in 1887 from which they emigrated to Colorado and had returned again last spring. She became a member of the Baptist church while still young and lived a Christian life until death which occurred Wednesday, October 17, 1900. The funeral took place from the Friend's church at Pleasant Valley in this country, on Thursday following by Rev. A. M. Stevenson. She will be missed by the dear ones left to mourn her departure but they will find consolation in knowing that she is now free from all pain and sorrow and in the hope of meeting her in the world of eternal bliss.
