MARY JANE REIF

Mary Jane Reif, age 77, of 7627 West Hillcrest Road, Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning, June 25, 2003, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday (TODAY) June 28, 2003, at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. Theodore Hendricks will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment to follow at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.

Mary Jane was born May 27, 1926 at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Sylvester and Mary Muench Newman. She grew up and was educated in Manitowoc County schools.

She was married to Edwin M. Reif on Jan. 22,3 1944, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mary Jane and her husband lived in the Francis Creek area all of their life.

She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. Mary Jane was a longtime member of the Order of Carmelites and the rosary group of Reifs Mills. She enjoyed making rosaries and crocheting.

Survivors include her husband: Edwin M. Reif; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Lloyd and Karen Reif, Manitowoc; Thomas Reif, Manitowoc; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Lynn and Jerry Mathews, Kansas City, Mo.; Donna and Michael Komoroski, Two Rivers; Gail Reif, Manitowoc; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Nieces, nephews, other relative and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister: Rosella Raether, and one grandson: Kevin Komoroski.

Relative and friends may call at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek, on Saturday (TODAY), June 28, 2003, from 9 until 10:30 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersvile is assisting the Reif family.
