BILLIE L. FOOTE, 85, of Stafford, Kansas, went to be with her Lord on Saturday morning, March 16, 2013 at the Leisure Homestead in Stafford, Kansas.
Born on August 5, 1927 in Keighley, Kansas, she was the daughter of Silas and Minnie Naugle. She received her education in Cambridge, Kansas and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1945, She also attended college in Nebraska.
She was united in marriage on August 5, 1948 to Jean A. Foote in Cambridge, Kansas. She worked for and retired from the Winfield State Hospital and Training Center. Billie raised her family in Udall, Burden and Cambridge. Mr. Foote preceded her in death on October 13, 1993.
She was an active member of the Cambridge Presbyterian Church and enjoyed playing the piano at their services. Billie loved to play cards and was a member of several card clubs. She was an active volunteer at Joseph's Storehouse in Burden. She always enjoyed the Alumni celebrations that are held in Cambridge every. Billie was a devoted mother to three boys, attending all of their activities that she could.
Her family includes: Her sons: Bill Foote and wife Terri of Wichita, KS; and Reuel Foote and wife Janell of Hudson, KS; Her two grandsons, one step grandson, one step granddaughter, 4 great grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren; and Several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son Jerry Foote on March 8, 2013, her sister Audine Palmer and her brother Orville Parks.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Cambridge Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at the Cambridge Cemetery. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, March 22, 2013.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Cambridge Presbyterian Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
