Robert Russell Farley, 59, of Mannington, passed away Saturday (March 16, 2013) at UPMC Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa.

He was born March 29, 1953 in Fairmont, a son of Eugene Farley and the late Garvine Campbell Farley.

He is survived by four sib­lings, Margaret (Peggy) Floyd and husband William of Hutchinson, Sondra "Sandi" Fairleigh of Mannington, Sharleen Hammell and husband Robert "Bob" of Mannington, and Randall Farley and wife Nancy of Fairmont.

Robert was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Farley and Ermal Lewis Farley.

Robert was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Mannington. He was a 1972 graduate of Mannington High School. He was employed as a cashier at Gray's Cutrite, Joanne Coal Co. in Rachel, St. Barbara's Nursing Home as a cook and activities director, a former restauranteur of Farley's Famous Foods, and he retired from Federal No. 2 in Blacksville as a mine operator.

Family and friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, with a Rosary service taking place at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Mannington with Father Carl Wohine as cele­brant. Burial will follow at Viewpoint Cemetery in Rachel.
