GERTRUDE KOERNER

Gertrude Koerner, age 95, formerly of 9431 Hershau Road, Cato, and currently a resident of The Village at Manor Park, West Allis, died Thursday morning, May 10, 2007, in West Allis.
The former Mary Gertrude Althaus was born Dec. 2, 1911, in Mattoon, Ill., daughter of the late John and Pansy West Althaus. On May 29, 1952, she was married to Joseph Koerner.
The couple farmed in the town of Manitowoc Rapids, and Joe preceded her in death on May 17, 1991. Gertrude was a member of St. Michael Parish of Whitelaw and St. Michael
Christian Mothers. Gertrude enjoyed painting, flower and vegetable gardening and loved animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, 10 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, May 14, 2007, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Whitelaw. The Rev. Dave Zimmerman will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.
Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at church on Monday from noon until the time of services.
The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home ofKellnersville is serving the Koerner family.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff of the Sunnyview II unit of The Village at Manor Park for their kind care and compassion shown to Mom during her stay there.
