BLASIUS MEIDL (d. 1944)

Blasius W. Meidl, 65, Whitelaw lumber merchant, died Tuesday night at the Holy Family hospital, following a week's illness.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the home in Whitelaw and at 9:30 from St. Michael's Catholic church with interment in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Meidl was born in the town of Franklin and 40 years ago founded the Whitelaw Lumber company which he operated until taken ill. He was a member of the Holy Name society and the Catholic knights of Wisconsin.

In 1903 he married Miss Mary Zipperer. She survives with six daughters, Mrs. Louis Rugowski and Ethel, of this city, Mrs. Walter Bentley Jr. and Mrs. William Wedegertner, of Whitelaw, Mrs. Frank Kaderabek of Branch, Mrs. Robert Schindhelm, of Columbus, Ohio; three sons, Joseph, of
Whitelaw, Vincent Meidl stationed at Geiger Field, Wash., Rudolph Meidl, stationed at Great Lakes, Ill., brother, John, of Phlox, Wis., sister, Mrs. John Schamburek, of Whitelaw; and 19 grandchildren.

The body was removed to the Meidl home this afternoon from the Pfeffer funeral home and may be viewed there until the hour of the services. The rosary will be recited Thursday evening at eight o'clock at the home.
