DEATH CLAIMS CO. PIONEER AT AGE OF 85
Complications caused by advancing age proved fatal yesterday to Mrs.
Michael Pankratz, 85 year old Cato resident, who had spent the greater
part of her life in Manitowoc county. Mrs. Pankratz, a widow, died at
the home of a daughter, Mrs. Joe Brennan at Cato. Mrs. Pankratz for
many years lived in the vicinity of Cato and lived for about 70 years
in Manitowoc county, according to relatives here. She was one of the
first girls to reside in the vicinity of Kellnersville and had a wide
acquaintanceship. Her husband died several years ago. Mrs. Pankratz is
survived by two sons and two daughters, George at Escanaba and Frank on
the old homestead at Cato, Mrs. Joseph Brennan, Cato, and Mrs. Godfrey
Etzer, Branch. Two brothers and four sisters also survive. Funeral
services will be held from the St. Michael’s Catholic church at Whitelaw
tomorrow morning at 9:30 o’clock.
