Mr. Preston was born October 24, 1950 in Manitowoc, a son of Charles and Elmira Behnke Preston. He attended St. Michael's grade school in Whitelaw and graduated from Valders High School in 1969. On September 25, 1976 he was married to Diane Hinz at Trinity Lutheran Church in the Town of Liberty. For the past seven years Jerry worked for Imperial Eastman in Manitowoc. He is a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Whitelaw.
Survivors include his wife, Diane, one son, Justin Lee Preston, at home; his parents, Charles and Elmira Preston, Whitelaw; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Dale and Diane Preston, Cato, Kevin Preston, Whitelaw and his fiancée, Lisa Erdmann, Mark and Laura Preston, Thomas and Sue Preston, all of Manitowoc; his mother-in-law, Florence Hinz, Valders; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law,Judy and Bill Hoffman, Appleton, Ron and Barb Hinz, Manitowoc, Linda and David Loveall, Houston, Texas, Kaye and Ron Jandrey, Valders, Lori and Larry Tolksdorf, Manitowoc, Daryl and Lisa Hinz, Madison, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Elmer Hinz.
Friends may call at the Saur Funeral Home on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. Father Heymen will pray the rosary at 7 p.m.
